I still get that brittle feeling. Calling, pointing, keeping distance only to let their brothers come in between. We never felt it fade away. Drawing figures against our bodies, taking odds at how our bones might break. Did you see the poise at which the gestures were made? Shaping limbs to form the loathings that our bodies make. Marking every inch, every crevice of my skin, I felt it move....

One Time on Valentines Day

I received a bouquet of more than a dozen roses and a huge balloon from a stranger, and then I exchanged it for a taco and a lindor truffle from a co-worker. Best decision I’ve ever made.
